Every IMS program follows a four-part framework designed for longevity — not short-term performance. This is what separates us from every other trainer in San Diego.

Step One
Joint Preparation

We start every session with Controlled Articular Rotations (CARs) and targeted mobility work. This prepares your joints, builds end-range strength, and reduces injury risk before any load is applied. Most trainers skip this entirely. We build our programs around it.

Step Two
Strength Development

Progressive, intelligent strength training built around safe, controlled movement patterns. You get stronger without grinding your body down. Programming is individualized — never copied from a template.

Step Three
Conditioning

Cardiovascular and metabolic work designed to complement your strength training, not compete with it. Energy system development that fits your goals and your schedule.

Recovery & Tissue Health

What happens at the free Movement Assessment?

We spend 30 minutes looking at how you move — joint by joint, without judgment. We ask about your goals, health history, and what's been limiting you. At the end, you get a clear picture of what your body needs and a specific program recommendation. No pressure to sign up on the spot.

Do I need to be in shape before I start?

No. IMS is specifically designed for adults starting from where they are. Our programs are built around your current capacity and progress intelligently from there.

How is IMS different from a regular personal trainer?

Most trainers give you a workout. IMS gives you a system — built around joint health first, then strength, conditioning, and recovery. Every session is purposeful. Nothing is random. The methodology is grounded in FRC science, not guesswork. And you train in a private studio with full coaching attention every single session.

How often should I train to see results?

Most clients see strong results at 2–3 sessions per week. We'll give you a specific recommendation during your assessment based on your goals, schedule, and recovery capacity.

Can I use recovery services without a training membership?

Yes. Massage therapy, compression therapy, and sauna are available to outside clients. Book through vagaro.com/innovativemovementsolutions or call (619) 937-1434.

Do you offer Pilates for beginners?

Yes. All Pilates sessions at IMS are private and coached step by step. No experience required — we start exactly where you are.

What is FRC — Functional Range Conditioning?

FRC is a science-based system of joint health and mobility training developed by Dr. Andreo Spina. It focuses on building usable, active range of motion — strength at end ranges — rather than passive flexibility. Jason holds FRC, FRA, Kinstretch, and FRC-ISM certifications, among the most rigorous credentials in the movement field.

What's your cancellation policy?

We require 12 hours notice for cancellations or reschedules to respect your coach's schedule and keep time available for all clients. Late cancellations and no-shows forfeit the session.
