We don't just train you. We rebuild how you move. Private coaching studio in Scripps Ranch — strength, mobility, Pilates, and recovery under one roof.
They hand you a program and tell you to push harder. But if your joints aren't prepared and your movement is off — harder just means more damage.
Here's what clients tell us before they find IMS:
Generic programs load your body before it's ready. IMS starts with joint health and movement quality — so every rep builds you up instead of breaking you down.
Your body needs a smarter approach as it changes with age. IMS programs combine strength, mobility, and recovery to produce lasting results without the burnout.
IMS gives you one expert, one plan, and one system — tailored to exactly where you are right now. We start by figuring out what your body actually needs.
Every IMS program follows a four-part framework designed for longevity — not short-term performance. This is what separates us from every other trainer in San Diego.
We start every session with Controlled Articular Rotations (CARs) and targeted mobility work. This prepares your joints, builds end-range strength, and reduces injury risk before any load is applied. Most trainers skip this entirely. We build our programs around it.
Progressive, intelligent strength training built around safe, controlled movement patterns. You get stronger without grinding your body down. Programming is individualized — never copied from a template.
Cardiovascular and metabolic work designed to complement your strength training, not compete with it. Energy system development that fits your goals and your schedule.
Massage therapy, compression therapy, sauna, and recovery protocols keep your body adapting between sessions. Recovery isn't optional at IMS — it's built into the plan.
Not a program on a clipboard. Every session is built around how you move, your goals, and what your body is ready for — in a private studio where every rep matters.

Jason + Gabriel + Kara + Laryssa. Strength, mobility, bodywork, and Pilates — everything you need, under one roof.
Jason founded IMS with one belief: most adults don't need more workouts — they need a smarter system. His hybrid approach begins with joint health before load, grounded in how the body actually works.
Gabriel brings dedicated strength and movement coaching to IMS. FRC certified, his sessions integrate joint-first methodology with progressive strength training — the same system Jason built IMS around.
Kara provides targeted therapeutic massage and bodywork for IMS clients and the community. Her work supports recovery, addresses tissue restrictions, and manages the physical demands of an active life.
Laryssa leads Pilates at IMS with precision and intentionality. Her coaching focuses on deep core strength, postural control, and coordinated movement that amplifies everything else clients do.

"I've been training with Jason twice a week for about a year. Sessions are always challenging but tailored to improve where I need it most. The results speak for themselves."
"Been training with Jason for a few months now. Wish I found him a few years back. Highly recommend anyone who needs help getting back on track from injuries or needs a personal trainer."

Most trainers give you a workout. IMS gives you a system — built around joint health first, then strength, conditioning, and recovery. Every session is purposeful. Nothing is random. The methodology is grounded in FRC science, not guesswork. And you train in a private studio with full coaching attention every single session.
Most clients see strong results at 2–3 sessions per week. We'll give you a specific recommendation during your assessment based on your goals, schedule, and recovery capacity.

FRC is a science-based system of joint health and mobility training developed by Dr. Andreo Spina. It focuses on building usable, active range of motion — strength at end ranges — rather than passive flexibility. Jason holds FRC, FRA, Kinstretch, and FRC-ISM certifications, among the most rigorous credentials in the movement field.
We require 12 hours notice for cancellations or reschedules to respect your coach's schedule and keep time available for all clients. Late cancellations and no-shows forfeit the session.
